Okeechobee Florida
My name is Glenn Jarriel (G.W.) and I am currently a senior enrolled at Glades Day School in Belle Glade, Florida. I am an aspiring athlete who is dedicated and loyal to both my family and my team. As a student rapidly approaching graduation, I must take advantage of every opportunity in order to improve my academic and athletic portfolio. I have played 4 yrs. at the varsity level. During my sophomore year, I earned the Most Improved Player award. During the spring of 2013, I was invited to my first FBU camp in Ft. Lauderdale and the US Army All American Combine in San Antonio, Texas (2014) after performing with excellence at a local combine in Ft. Pierce, Florida – Held by Dwight Thomas. Following the Ft. Lauderdale combine, I was nominated to attend the Top Gun Football Camp in Dublin, Ohio. On January 11, 2014, I attended the Blue-Grey Sports Combine at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Stadium and once again stood out among my peers (top 5 of 300). Based on my performance in Tampa, I received a letter for selection to be a Red Zone Prospect. I performed in the top 4% of my class at the NIKE SPARQ Combine in Miami, Florida February 9, 2014. My Sparq rating was 78.99 (I was the in the top #56 of 1482 athletes). On March 9, 2014, I attended the FBU Oxbridge Academy Combine in West Palm Beach Florida. My 40 time was a 4.47, broad jump was 10.0, my shuttle was 4.19, and my L-drill was 7.1. My performance in the 7 on 7 games and combine stats at the Oxbridge Academy combine led to my selection on the i350 impact team. Most weekends are spent running drills up and down the dike at Lake Okeechobee, or participating in 7 on 7 competitions. My parents have sacrificed their time and resources, traveling across the state of Florida & US, to ensure I have trained/learned from the top coaches (FBU/NFL & collegiate) and competed with the top athletes in the nation (Top Gun, US ARMY, Blue-Grey, etc…). My personal trainer, Coach Leo Rowe, has equipped me with DB skills and helped me improve my speed and agility (personal trainer for many elite athletes in Southwest Florida, such as J.C. Jackson, Sammy Watkins, Jaylen Watkins, Jimmy Stewart, and Noel Devine).
Presently, I sit sixth in my class of 408. I have a 4.5 weighted GPA and 3.96 core GPA. Throughout high school I have pursued all honors, dual enrollment, and advanced placement courses.
