My interests are varied, and my talents decidedly in the creative realm. I don't make lists, but I can give you a story idea in 30 seconds or less. I have lived in several states, and like nothing better than a good road trip.
I find that writing has become a fulfillment of aspirations long held; the ability to craft a scene or mood with words gives me great satisfaction. Maybe it's a little bit like painting, only writing lets me create an environment using words rather than color, emotions instead of shapes.
Life's journey is the greatest road trip in the universe, and for every one of us the little details are sometimes the most important. I hope that nothing is over looked in my journey, that not one person is missed or opportunity ignored.
Ultimately, my goal is to reach the heart of God and to hear the words at the end of my life that echo what Jesus said to illustrate the heart of God towards those who seek Him:
"His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'
My blog is another journey into the spiritual realm, that place where we can surrender ourselves to a life in Christ. I invite you to join me there in a daily talk at www.40daysofrain.wordpress.com
If you're interested in the continuing stories of those Men from U.N.C.L.E., then you might enjoy some of my guilty pleasures that are fanfiction. I write it for the sake of preserving the legacy of the altruistic organization that inspired me in my youth. Many of my stories are at fanfiction.net - the list begins with the most recent story.
All in all, no matter what the road brings, I know that it will eventually lead to something good. I have faith in that and hope that whatever happens, my having been here will be a catalyst for something good in the life of another human being.
There is, truthfully, joy in the journey.
