Glenn Pitt EXP
For almost 30 years, Culinary Design Associates has been delighting partygoers at weddings, bat mitzvahs, and other formal events with its healthy and aesthetically pleasing approach to catering. The Glenside, Pennsylvania, catering company serves Philadelphia and the surrounding areas, offering services and menus to satisfy a diverse range of tastes and lifestyles. Chef and owner Glenn Pitt is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Textiles and Sciences, now Philadelphia University, and brings 32 years of professional culinary experience to Culinary Design Associates. Pitt, a health-food convert, established Culinary Design Associates to provide a healthy alternative to the typical high fat cooking prevalent in the catering industry. Clients who entrust Culinary Design Associates to fulfill their catering needs choose from a menu of over 150 hors d’oeuvres and 50 entrees, with many heart-healthy options available. One example of a heart-healthy menu option is the “Tie the Knot” Bride Menu, which includes a crudités table as the hors d’oeuvres and choice of chicken breast with herbal stuffing, Chicken Cordon Bleu, or Chicken Kiev for the entrée. Long-grain and wild rice, steamed seasonal vegetables, Caesar salad, and rolls complete the “prix fixe” menu. More elaborate entrées include Henry VIII filet mignon and Carolina Pork Chops served with plum sauce, among others. Culinary Design Associates can accommodate a range of dining styles, from scattered buffet to sit-down. Clients may also select colorful linens and other thematic extras that spark the imagination. Culinary Design Associates works with eight popular venues in the Philadelphia area, now proudly offering service at StoneCroft, its newest location. With room for up to 150 guests, StoneCroft sits on a lovely seven-acre estate with a pleasing garden, greenhouse, and working fountains. Other artistic and historical venues that contract with Culinary Design Associates include Abington Art Center, The Library Exchange, Wyncote Botanical Gardens, Hilltop House of Devon, and The Loft in Bucks County.
