My Beliefs
- Learning teams should operate and behave as a product organization (VoC-driven, creates MVPs followed by testing/iterating, and delivers using Agile methodologies modified for L&D).
- Training skills is helpful, but lots of people have skills they don't execute on. Behavior change is more important than knowledge acquisition.
- We measure training effectiveness by intensity when we should be measuring by consistency. Too many of us assume the short-term impacts that we're having are producing long-term value.
- The employee experience should be designed as intently as the customer experience.
- An organization can't "empower" its people. Organizations must instead remind people that they already have power, and create the conditions and environment for them to use it.
