I am a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Public Health, University of Calabar, Nigeria, with 7+ years of University teaching experience. Multi-talented with interdisciplinary knowledge, skills and competencies in Public Health, Nursing Science, Oto-Rhino-Laryngology, and actively involved in public health/gender-based violence research and other community services. I am a Fellow of the West African College of Nursing and β€œThe Network: Towards Unity for Health”.

From my 15+ years of organizational and managerial experience, I have acquired the following SOFT SKILLS:

I have extensive professional continuing education with certificates in Health Systems Research from the Centre for Excellence in Health Systems Strengthening at the Great Lakes University of Kisumu, Kenya; Advanced Human Resource Management for Healthcare Managers from the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON) among others.

πŸ† 2008 to 2016 - Served as Founding Programme Coordinator and CEO of the only School of Post-Basic Ear, Nose and Throat Nursing in Southern Nigeria

πŸ† September 2009 - Earned accreditation for the ENT School by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria within 15 months.

πŸ† Increased the number of trained ENT nurses in the Southern region of Nigeria by up to 2000%

πŸ† 2009 and 2016- Lead Examiner for ENT Qualifying Examinations, Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria

πŸ† November 2011- Recipient of commendation letter from the Management of the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital for commitment to work, honesty and integrity.

I have participated in several local and international conferences and workshops and have over 21 peer-reviewed journal articles, published conference proceedings, technical reports and manuscripts. I have successfully mentored and supervised over 40 undergraduate, PhD and MPH students’ projects.
