Born in Des Moins, Iowa and also lived in Nebraska, Massachusetts and Maryland. Currently residing in sunny Los Anchorage, Alaska. Graduated from St. Mary's College of MD with a degree in philosophy and a minor in English literature. I'm 45 years old and have three kids: Duncan (18), Addy (15) and Oliver (10). Married to the amazing Cathy Wright who is pretty much the coolest chick on the planet.
Hobbies include: sailing, XC skiing and coaching, backpacking, hunting and eating tasty Alaskan fauna, music (collecting and playing), pipes & tobacco, programming, disc golf, retro-geekery, sci-fi, backyard poultry, and bike commuting.
I'm a chronic volunteer and enjoy helping out with libraries and youth fitness programs. I *love* being outside no matter the weather. I co-own PangoMedia (an Alaskan software development company) with long-time friend and business parter Craig Fisher.
