Glynis Rigsby

Glynis has worked closely with playwrights and translators to develop compelling productions of established texts and new works. Directing work includes Sunken Cathedral with Bora Yoon at HERE, Anna Ziegler's BFF (Best Friends Forever) and Phillip Ridley's Mercury Fur at The Tank NYC, Rape of Lucretia for The Opera Project, Britannia Triumphans for the Yale Center for British Art and Into the Woods for hte Yale Dramat. In music and sound she has collaborated with Bora Yoon, sound designer Jane Shaw (Black Snow) and composer and sound artist Edmund Mooney (The Devil's Mistress; Beautiful Radiant Things). She has devised scripts with screenwriter Dan Pulick (Rite of the Serpent Skirt) and solo artists Jasmin Rainieri (The Devil’s Mistress) and Jane Ray (Beautiful, Radiant Things). Glynis was named a Fox Foundation Fellow in 2001, holds an MFA in Directing from the Yale School of Drama, is on faculty at the New School for Drama, and currently serves as Chair of the Acting for Film program for the New York Film Academy, New York.
