Glynnis Walbridge

I fought getting into the insurance industry. After all, my father was in it and got axed in his mid-50's that made my parents move from Massachusetts to Florida. But in 1987, the only office job I could find was at an insurance agency in Natick, MA and I relunctantly I went to work in the insurance industry as a file clerk. Here I am, 25 years later, and so much has changed:

  • Auto rates are competitive
  • The business is fully automated
  • Most in this industry don't file paper but scan it
  • There is more emphasis on Education
  • The workforce average age is older
  • The atmosphere is more litigious
I spent the last 15 years belonging to industry associations that have helped me adjust to the changes in the insurance industry. In recent years, I have developed classes and began teaching more.
I'm a mom to an eleven year old. I love music and traveling. :-)
