My name is Georgius Misjura and I am 27 years old. I am a UK / Estonia - based producer, media specialist and video editor with over 8 years of academic and work experience in media and film. I moved to UK and began a BA (Hons) Film degree at Southampton Solent University in 2007. My final project received not only top mark, but was awarded the University certificate of excellence in June 2010. I joined the Sikh Channel Sangat TV in November 2010 as an advert editor but was soon promoted to senior editor and was also placed in charge of all social media output. I was heavily involved in the filming, editing and leading social media coverage of footage of the West Midlands Riots in August 2011 during my time working at Sangat TV. The resulting material was subsequently used by BBC, ITV, CNN, NDTV, Al Jazeera, Sky News and Channel 4. I finished working for Sangat TV in September 2011 and took up the opportunity to be one of the first students on a new MA level Film degree focusing on production which is due to finish in September 2012 at Southampton Solent University. I setup my own company Vita Pictura Productions in partnership with lifelong friend Bram Davis in October 2012. Recently the company worked with Award-winning DJ and music producer Wilkinson. I have recently produced and edited a three episode music television / internet programme called Tallinn nights for major internet portal DELFI in the Baltic States and Latvian Entertainment Channel OE Television. I have spent an extensive time producing and editing a variety of television programmes including religious, music, sports, health, etc in Russian and English at Sangat TV and Vita Pictura Productions in a professional capacity. I am currently looking for a challenging environment in which to develop my career.
