Hello, I’m Gisela. I’m a student living in Mexico DF, Mexico. I am a fan of reading, politics, and food. I’m also interested in hiking and travel. You can visit my website with a click on the button above.
Most of the people I come across with tell me that I'm very talkative and energetic, they think that I have an enthusiastic way of seeing life. I truly enjoy joking around with my friends as much as I enjoy having a very interesting conversation on any topic, the exchange of ideas always draw me.
I speak 4 languages. Spanish is my mother language, followed by english and french which I learnt since I was little, on high school I studied german for two years and I want to master it later on in college in order to learn my fifth language: Italian.
I wish to become an International lawyer not to only contribute to my country, but to others. I am very interested in other countries way of functioning, beliefs, culture and politics.
I am profoundly in love with Mexico. I love its food, music and traditions, but the most inspiring factor about this country, is the people. In September 19th of 2017, there was a filthy earthquake that brought my country to ruins, by this time I was in Canada in an exchange program, yet this did not stop me from helping my country. I sent a petition letter to my school to ask for permission for a Fund Raising. The next day of my proposal I found myself speaking to a lot of students and teachers to raise awareness on Mexico's recent situation. Within 8 school days I rose 687.9 CAD which are about 10,500 mexican pesos. This money was sent to the Mexican Red Cross.
I participated in more school events such as being the main organizer of my schools multicultural fair and taking care of the International Music on the Halloween Dance.
I won a scolarship on the "Count Me In" leadership camp that will take place this May in Toronto.
When it comes to sports I really enjoy swimming, as a result of this I entered the Swim Team and went to my first competition ever, in which I won 7th (Back Sroke) and 8th (Free Style) place out of 25 participants.
I consider myself a perseverant and optimistic person. I like to have a plan in order to achieve my goals, because I always think ", go big or go home".
