I am a Vietnamese American and grew up in Columbus, OH. I graduated from The Ohio State University with dual degrees in Psychology and English. Following that, I completed a Master of Arts degree in English Education at Columbia University Teachers College. I now teach 9th grade English at a charter school in Brooklyn, NY.
By becoming a teacher, I play a vital role in cultivating an environment and community that advocates students' academic, psychological and social growth. Ultimately, I would like to use my experiences as a teacher as a foundation for working with educational public policy specifically related to minority students and students with disabilities.
