Godfrey Tairo

I am a director and project manager currently living in Arusha, Tanzania. My interests range from volunteering to reading. I am also interested in Adventure.

Godfrey Tairo is a social worker and visionary young man in Leadership. He is the SDGs Champion and advocates on Youth and Child rights to and Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH). He has a passion for global issues and he completes his Social Work course. He believes that when a young person is empowered, a community is also empowered, hence, he is committed to being a change agent on empowering other young people through his professional career. He is the Executive Director for Milk World Foundation that advocates for Adolescent youth and access friendly Sexual and Reproductive Health, Sustainable Development Goals and Human Rights.

He has been engaged and involved in various youth advocacy works focusing on Sustainable Development Goals and Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights from 2009 to date. He has been excelling his volunteerism spirit as a member of different youth organizations and platforms within and outside the country such as Evolution of Youth Ability, Youth of United Nations Association (YUNA), Youth for Human Rights International (YHRI), Youth Connect Africa, The Library and Fulop Tanzania. In 2018 during Course Practice (Field), he organized a charity movement under Milk World Foundation with Secondary and Primary School learners in rural Arusha, Kilimanjaro, and Manyara to participate in community work by cleaning health centers and create awareness among student focusing Sustainable Development Goals.

Godfrey has a wide range of Leadership experiences. He has been a Secretary at Evolution of Youth Ability (formerly Real Friends of Tanzania), Ambassador of Youth for Human Rights Tanzania and served as a counselor at different learning institutions.

He considers himself as determined, changes maker and the motivated young man who looks forward to building his capacity on working in a team and learn from others.
