Götz Veser
Götz Veser obtained a Diploma in chemical engineering at the University of Karlsruhe, and a PhD in physical chemistry at the Fritz Haber Institute, Berlin (1993, with R. Imbihl and G. Ertl). Following a Feodor-Lynen Postdoctoral Fellowship with Lanny Schmidt at the University of Minnesota, he held positions at the University of Stuttgart and at the Max-Planck-Institute for Coal Research, before joining the University of Pittsburgh, where he is now the Nickolas A. DeCecco Professor of chemical engineering.
Dr. Veser’s research interests are in catalytic reaction engineering, in particular the design of functional nanomaterials, microchemical reactors, and multifunctional reactor concepts, with applications in energy technology. He serves on the editorial board of multiple journals in the area of reaction engineering, and on the board of the North American Catalysis Society. Dr. Veser is also a faculty fellow at the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Energy Technology Laboratory.
