Kitra was started by Vancouver entrepreneur Anthony Pavlakovic because no one in North America was refinishing kitchen cabinetry and other millwork to a factory-grade level. Everything that was being done was unfortunately of low quality, highly temporary, and would rarely ever meet the demands of interior designers, architects, and licensed general contractors. Kitra wanted to change this. We at Kitra feel strongly that the life of cabinetry can and should be extended well beyond their 15-20-year lifespan, and that the landfills could be spared millions of tons of unnecessary waste.
