Turkish tour guide
Istanbul, Turkey
I was born in Ankara, grew up in Istanbul, and studied English Literature at Bosphorus University, Istanbul with additional courses on mythology, Greek tragedy and the history of the Byzantine Empire and Ottoman Architecture.
After university, I worked as arts' correspondent for a daily newspaper, and then as the managing editor for two monthly magazines: Outdoor and Gezi / National Geographic Traveler which was published in association with National Geographic Society. Also I prepared a series of articles on ancient sites of Carian and Lycian civilisations. Those articles were published in the same magazine for six consecutive months.
I have been working as a tourguide since 2002. With my love of history and archaeology, I also give onsite lectures in addition to traditional tours. Currently I am attending a master's programme in History of Religions at the School of Theology in Istanbul.
