Golden Opportunity

After a trip to Guatemala, Mark Gerhart and Sabiha Vaswanathan saw that there was a serious problem with the cofee fair trade system, but no existing structure was in place to help alleviate this corrupt system. In response, they established a non-profit that enables people in their community to choose where they buy their coffee. Right now, Mark and Sabiha are connecting with local coffee shops that will sell the Guatemalan coffee beans in their coffee shops. All of the profits go directly back to the farmers that the beans came from.
