Really, I am a forlorn, professional curmudgeon who writes fiction and nonfiction; years ago I was employed as a professional educatior and have now been retired for a couple of decades..
Actually, I'm quite old, however, but perceive age as relative.
Currently, I reside in San Diego California, United States of America, though I have ties to other parts of the United States and to Switzerland.
Personally, I believe that a person's religious and philosophical beliefs are private. However, I lean toward Buddhist and Christian philosophy, believing everyone should have compassion for every living creature, including enemies, and should eliminate hatred from their soul, though I am admittedly definitely not a pacifist.
As a public school educator, I have always contended that there is no place in the schools for punishment of students; Students should be taught acceptable public behavior naturally, with teachers and other school personnel serving as role models.
Contrary to what most adults believe, I contend that children and adolescents are not inferior to adults in intellect or character because of age difference; childen and adolescents merely lack experience.
Teachers should treat students as total equals; age is simply relative..
