Rachel Goldstein
Western Maryland
I grew up in New York City and am now living in rural Western Maryland, so you can see I've come a long way! By way of my first marriage to an Army guy, I spent three years in Germany, a wonderful experience as I had just turned 20 years old at the time. Straight out of NYC, I lived across the street from a sheep farm, among German neighbors, some of whom spoke English, some of whom didn't. I learned to understand about three quarters of any German conversation but alas! I've lost it all (it's been about thirty years since I've heard any German). Since then I've taught elementary school, programmed computers and served as customer support in several Federal Agencies. I am now happily retired. I'm divorced from my first husband and have lived with my current love for the last twenty-five years. I am a writing wannabe, a gardening wannabe, and an enthusiastic pet owner. Right now I have a German Shepherd/Norwegian Elkhound mix named Brandi (I should have named her Alcoholic!) and two beautiful black cats, Sir Rascal Underfoot and Princess Jewel, who all get along.
