Erica Goldsworthy

I am an 8th grade science teacher in Palo Alto. I have been molding my classroom to be student centered and a place where students learn by exploring. I want to create a culture of students who want to find things out on their own instead of waiting for someone to tell them the answer.

I also believe that meeting students were they are at is half the battle, which is why I love edtech. Students can easily share their work with one another, learn how to have a positive online presence and use tools to better understand content (8th grade science is not always the easist!). Technology has a time and place in the classroom and I am focused on learning the best way to integrate and use these amazing tools.

I am a MERIT alum, Silicon Valley CUE member and occasional presenter at edtech conferences.
