Pétros Golítsis (b. 1978 in Thessaloniki, Greece) is an author of six volumes of verse; published in fourteen languages. His most recent publications include La carne de lo provisional (in Spanish), translated by José Antonio Moreno Jurado, Padilla Libros Publications, Seville, 2022, Nagrizanje (in Serbo-Croatian), translated by D. Vitorović and A. Kostić, Presing Publications, Belgrade, 2023, and The Skinner of Darkness, Thraka Publications, Greece, 2023. He is currently completing his forthcoming poetry book, The Blueprint of Revival (2025).

He is a member of the Hellenic Author’s Society, of the Literary Society of Thessaloniki, of the PEN International, a Poet of the Planet, and an Earthmate. He has been awarded the International Poetry Prize Tudor Arghezi (2018) from the Writers’ Union of Romania, and the International Poetry Prize Povelja Morave (2019) from the Association of Writers of Serbia. In 2023, he was honored by the Spring of Poets, Lazaret, on the French Riviera. He has completed, with Vassilis Vassilikos (1933–2023), the well-known author of the political novel Z, a four-volume anthology of Greek poetry from 1796 to 2021 (Romi Publications, Thessaloniki, 2021).

He has been presented at International Literary Festivals and International Book Fairs (Athens, Belgrade, Thessaloniki, Târgu Jiu, etc.) and he has also participated in the “Nuori Voima” special issue on contemporary Greek literature and tour in Finland (Helsinki, Tampere, Turku and Jyväskylä, in 2015).

Since 2010 he has been a prolific columnist for various periodicals and newspapers, including “EfSyn” (2015-2021), “Eneken” (2012-2014) and “Intellectum” and part of the editing team of “Thraca”. He has translated Wallace Stevens, Ernest Dowson, E.E. Cummings, Dylan Thomas and Walt Whitman into Greek.
