Pedro Gomes

Pedro Gomes is a professional triathlete based out of Portugal, focused on long course events such as Ironman.

Growing up without being involved in any kind of sports. Only at the age of 14 and following his dad's will, he got into swimming and not until 19 he turned into triathlon. After a few years of short course racing, Pedro stormed into the Ironman rankings with a debut performance of 8h26 over the distance and setting the Portuguese all-time Ironman record of 8h19 in Ironman Florida 2010 where he finished 2nd. Pedro is currently sponsored by Kestrel, Zoot, Vision, Endurance+, Selle Italia and Challenge tyres. He's currently coached by Jesse Kropelnicki, QT2 Systems.
