Vanessa Gonzalez’ all around experience with event planning, community outreach, renders her to play a strong role within a Community Relations, Events, or Non-Profit department within sports team. She was born and raised in Berkeley, California. She recently graduated the University of California, Santa Cruz with not one but two Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and Film & Digital Media with a consideration in production. Vanessa founded a chapter of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Incorporated, an academic-based organization established to help empower women in higher education through community outreach. Her outstanding work ethic and commitment to go above and beyond to make an impact on the community have pushed her to create, fundraisers to raise money for organizations such as St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Children’s Hospital Oakland, or even workshops to make the community aware. Her social skills and easy to talk to personality has made it possible for her to communicate well with others and build strong bridges with other organizations. The strong connections she makes with people helped the chapter of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. increase attendees of events sponsored by them. Her capacities are not limited to just one field of work, as she can plan events in the office, but also able to go out in the field and help those in need directly. Any sports organization would be lucky to have her on their team. Her last position was with the San Fransico Giants Community Fund as a Jr. Giants Ambassador, where she oversaw the Junior Giants Baseball Bayview league. She played a crucial role in taking the initiative to create a better program experience for the San Francisco Bayview community. At the end of her position, she could provide the overall strength and weakness of the program to help the Giants Community Fund improve the Bayview league for the 2015 season. She is currently looking for an opportunity in an entry position in a sports team. Her experience and hard work ethic make her a great candidate for any sports organization.
