Aria Gonzalez

Hello! I am a sophomore at DePaul University. I am majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish. I plan to teach K-5th grade in a school of need for five years. Eventually, I hope to become a school administrator.

I attended Riverside Brookfield High School. I loved it! I was on the basketball team, cheerleading squad and track team. My goal was to get out of my shell and have fun!

The reason I want to become a teacher, is because I know that all students have the potential to be something extrodinary! My self esteem was at its lowest point in grammar school. One teacher told me to take risks and make a difference...That has been my motto to this day. I went from being an extremely shy, insecure girl; to being on stage all the time, with a huge smile on my face.

I have much confidence in myself now and I know I will inspire others to do the same.
