Gopal Goyal Kanda

Gopal Goyal Kanda (commonly known as Gopal Kanda) is an Indian politician, party leader, and public representative from Haryana. Born on December 29, 1965, in Sirsa, Haryana, he entered state politics in 2009, winning election to the Haryana Legislative Assembly as an Independent Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) representing the Sirsa constituency. Following his election, Goyal served the state as a Minister of State, managing key governance portfolios including Home Affairs, Urban Local Bodies, and Industries & Commerce in the Haryana Government. On May 2, 2014, Goyal founded the Haryana Lokhit Party (HLP), serving as its founder and president to establish an independent political platform dedicated to regional development, public welfare, and state progress. He earned a second legislative term in 2019 after successfully contesting and winning the Sirsa constituency under the HLP banner. During his tenure in the Haryana Legislative Assembly, he actively contributed to state policy as a member of legislative oversight committees, including the Committee on Agriculture. Throughout his political career, Goyal has remained a prominent figure in state coalition leadership, regional advocacy, and public administration in Haryana.
