Nielah is a native of Rochester, New York, an ordanined minister, an Ironse of IFA Orisha tradition, a mother, wife, international performing artist, poet, wellness practitioner, & community activist. Founded GOR4LIFE, teaching development skills in Afrikan Holistic health & wellness, & spiritual education since 1991.

From age 12 Nielah was an apprentice w/ Garth Fagan (choreographer of “The Lion King”) Alvin Ailey w/Jamieson Project Philadelphia Pa., Something Positive, Brooklyn, NY, Carleen Hendrick Cubana Dance Co.& Clyde Morgan, Sankofa Dance. Certified in health & wellness & Foods that Heal with Queen Afua, Living Food Institute, Soul healing, Master Sha, Master Cho Kuk Sui in Pranic Healing.

Nielah’s first national performance was with “I AM” theater ensemble at age 10 performing for President Jimmy Carter, at the White House.

Nielah has performed for more than 28 years with African, Cuban, Caribbean, modern dance companies, & theater groups throughout New York State, Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica & Brooklyn N.Y. Spain & Europe performing in Carnivals, and on world stages as a dancer, chorepgrapher, vocalist and poet.

Nielah is a graduate of the School of Performing Arts in Rochester, NY with a A.A.S. degree in Performing Arts Technology in Dance from Northwest Florida State College. Graduating while homeless with her three childrenwho gave her undying love, strength, & endurance to move forward.

Nielah shared work musically in Nigeria in March, 2014 & a passion for the importance of Agricutlure & Sustainable Foods while at IITA.

Nielah founded Performers, Blessings & Jazz (PB&J) a performing arts organization that support artist by creating a platform through artistic development, education, mentoring & events for local & national artist for international audiences.

In 2014- 2015 PB&J Inc. volunteered with Global Service Corps in both Asia (Cambodia) & Africa (Tanzania) to provide young people with training to find solutions to social challenges that currently impact their communities. Due to environmental & sustainability issues, development of conservation initiatives are key challenges that face communities around the world. Our goal is to directly influence & educate in sustainable agriculture and food security while promoting self – esteem, arts, wellness, cultural diversity, and communication between communities.
