Gorka Lasa. (1972)
Writer, poet, visual artist, cultural advocate, visual artist. He has published more than nine books of poetry and narrative, including: The ancient immensity of the wound (2024), Some of us, forever (2023), The spasm and stillness (2019), Aldebaran (2017), The balance of the hemispheres (2013), The Glare (2011), Cantos of the arcane legion (2009), Journey into the remoteness (2007), and is part of numerous anthologies and compilations. Former director and founding partner of the 9Signs Publishing Group. He is a member of the Association of Writers of Panama, the Society of Publishers and Authors SEA and various international groups of writers and poets. He studied humanities and psychology at the Panama Canal College, creation and literary theory at the Technological University of Panama and symbology at the University of Barcelona with added studies of mythology, philosophy, mysticism, and trans-personal psychology. His literary and visual work appears in numerous cultural publications and specialized internet pages around the world. His work has been translated into more than ten languages, he has been a jury member in literary contests, received prizes and recognition's, and has been invited to poetry festivals and international congresses.
