An Acapella choir is a singing group without musical instruments. Originating from Italy, where, singing “a capella” meant singing “in the chapel”. In general, chapels were too small to incorporate musical instruments as well as singers. So, singing “in the chapel” became synonymous with “singing without musical instruments”
