Owen Marmorek

Vancouver, Canada

Owen Marmorek is a sound engineer, show technician and promoter based out of Vancouver, Canada. He toured the USA with Juno award-winning indie rock group Said the Whale in 2012, and continues to engineer and produce for their drummer Spencer Schoening’s psychedelic project Sunny Pompeii.

Owen works on local productions including shows at BC Place (Taylor Swift), Rogers Arena (KISS, The Eagles, Beyonce, Pearl Jam), The Vogue Theatre (Bill Frisell, Wayne Shorter) as well as numerous other venues and festivals. He also engineered “If Anything”, the opening track of BC blues rock upstarts No Sinner‘s debut record Boo Hoo Hoo (produced by Warne Livesey).

Recently, Owen has made an entry into event promotion and production with Attack/Release, a multi-genre showcase series for local electronic talent. He is an honours graduate of GGGarth Richardson and Bob Ezrin’s Nimbus School of Recording Arts. In his spare time, Owen enjoys skiing, cycling and playing piano.
