I use opportunity and risk analysis to help lead creative production teams - these experiences in problem solving have been invaluable to developing my collaborations and adaptability. As a 2:1 Creative Music Technology graduate, I am adept at music, audio and sound production and design, including working on audio-visual media. I play electric guitar and have performed experimental, indie, rock, and pop as a band, ensemble, and solo. I would also call myself an adept writer, which has suddenly made me very focused on not making any slepping mistakes.
As well as experience in the sonic arts, I have sought many creative production opportunities, on projects where I see potential to change them for the better. Leading the production and marketing of Live From Surrey has been my largest project to date; a live music event celebrating student music on campus, with a crew of over forty students, and over thirty performers. From 2020 to 2022, I produced and marketed my own annual online and hybrid charity events, which raised over £2500. I am currently Station Manager and Creative Producer for Stag Radio, and previously led their marketing, social events, and open mic nights. I also produced the PATS Ball, and a short interactive film I also acted in, Myopia.
My interests have become more focused in recent years to combining comedy and art, to show the humour and beauty that can come of painful situations. Audio-visual media that uses synchronous sound and visuals fascinates me, such as the work of Max Cooper, and Bo Burnham.
I advocate focusing on the intended experience and emotional response of the audience - thoughtful story and writing will provide deeper context and meaning to cinematography and sound that would otherwise be only seen and heard as pretty, when they could be felt to be beautiful.
