Greg is a graduate of Brown University, with degrees in both Economics and History. Greg was a four-year starter of 40 straight games, earning All-Ivy League Honors and Honorable Mention I-AA All-American Honors. Greg was also Captain of the '90 team, the team’s leading tackler, received the Eugene C. Swift Award as the Top Defensive Player, and was selected to the 1990 Epson Ivy Bowl in Tokyo, Japan. Greg went on to play six years of professional football with the Detroit Lions, the Calgary Stampeders, and Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Greg was a two-time CFL Defensive Player of the Week.
Greg went into business in 1996, where he continues as the managing partner of G&G Holdings. Greg was also part of a team that built a start-up company into a $35M acquisition in April, 2000. Greg later became the Chief Marketing Officer for American Green, Inc.
Greg began his football coaching career in 2002 at Valley Christian H.S., where his teams went 41-5 and won the State Title in 2005. Greg was awarded the 1A–3A Assistant Coach of the Year Award and was selected to coach the AIA North/South All-Star game in 2006.
Greg won his second State Title as a defensive coordinator at Scottsdale Chaparral H.S. in 2011. The Chaparral defense was ranked top in the state, and the team finished the season as the ESPN #20 ranked team in the nation.
Coach Patrick has now begun a Professional coaching career with the new spring developmental league, Major League Football. Greg was hired as the Special Teams Coordinator and Linebackers Coach for the Virginia Armada of the MLFB. The inaugural season kicks off in the spring of 2017.
