Grace Anuforo is the co-founder of the first and only German Nigerian Elementary school in Ogun State, Nigeria.

Bethany Elementary School is one of the top 3 schools in Sagamu where it is located and has gone on to produce young intellectually sound global citizens who are doing well in three continents of the world.

With a focus on Gender Equality and Quality Education (Goals 5 & 4, respectively), she founded a registered youth-led not-for-profit organization that caters to girls and young women.

Her organization (www.thegraciellainitiative.com) has a core team of 72 young people across 8 African countries. Towards reducing child marriage among girls in the North, her organization sponsors out-of-school girls back to school, ensuring they complete their basic education.

They also leverage partnerships to provide employment opportunities for adolescent girls and young women.

To accomplish their objectives, they work with major stakeholders on the goals 1,2, 4, 5, 8, and 17.

Grace is a 2021 scholarship recipient of the Rotary Foundation as a Rotary Peace Fellow. She is also a 2022 Carrington Fellow of the United States Consulate, Lagos. Grace was selected in 2023 by the World Literacy Foundation to present her paper on Female Literacy for Positive Peace at Oxford University, UK. In 2024, Grace was selected to be one of the delegates from Nigeria for the African Union Election Observers Training, which took place at the Foreign Affairs Office in the Kingdom of Morocco in May.

Grace has an online schooling brand where she is teaching over 50 children and adults in Australia, Canada, France, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the UK, USA, and has a community of online teachers.

She has also trained 80 teachers on innovative pedagogies and teaching online effectively.

Since 2022, Grace has been dedicating 60% of the money she makes from online teaching to provide seed grants worth $1,000 annually to adolescent girls to implement solution projects. According to her, when girls have the capacity to lead, and if they have the means, they always go over and beyond to lift other girls (just like her). Grace wants to have replicas of herself who will selflessly give it all up to fix the problems facing women and girls, ultimately becoming women who will fill up seats where policies are being developed.

Grace is a member of the Commonwealth Youth Gender Equality Network and recently got selected as a Global Youth Ambassador of TheirWorld, as well as a Literacy Ambassador at World Literacy Foundation.

Grace's work on the SDGs in schools as a school administrator won her school a membership with the Global Schools Program in 2019. In February 2020, she did an SDGs in schools pitch at the Fix Politics conference, which was held in Victoria Island, Lagos, and was organized by Nigeria's former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili.
