Who am I?
Wife, mother of two, blogger and artist living in Round Hill, Virginia. My family and I live in a 163 year-old log cabin in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains surrounded by an equestrian countryside. My surroundings are very beaucolic but the artist in me pines for the city life and art museums afoot. Visting museums from Paris, Hong Kong, Tokyo to my own backyard in Washington, DC has fueled my love of art. So, one day I hope to find myself living a city girl life. In the meantime, one can find me sitting at my design table surrounded by the objects I love. I find inspiration sparked from a delicate and exquisite bead to the rusted and vintage item of emphemera. My passions are making hand-bound journals, mixed-media collage, encaustic painting, knitting, sewing and jewelry design. As a young child, I learned how to sew by the age of 8. I now wield that needle in my leatherwork designs. Each one of my pieces are made as one-of-a-kind. I handcut and shape each leather flower, the beads are meticulously sewn on and the painted and inked details are hand done. Many of my leather designs are made from upcycled leather resources.
