I am currently a student at the Mayborn Graduate Institute of Journalism at the University of North Texas, focusing on public relations and print media, specifically relating to sports journalism. I received my Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and Marketing in 2003 from UNT. I previously worked in health care operations for nearly five years, including an unforgettable experience working with hospitals and medical offices in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast for several months directly in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Additionally, I’m a graduate assistant at UNT, where I run the course labs for three media writing courses. My responsibilities include assisting students with assignments, helping students come up with story ideas and editing stories for the NT Daily, the UNT school newspaper.
