Grant Adams

I've run the gamut when it comes to dabbling in jobs, from fast food to health insurance to landscaping and most places in between, and one thing I've learned is that people are more important to me than a paycheck (though those certainly are nice). Human interaction fuels me throughout the day, and my favorite jobs have been those where I got to help coworkers and customers have a more enjoyable day, most notably my jobs with staffing agencies and being a pizza delivery driver. A job in Human Resources would be a dream job to me because of this, and it's one that I'm pursuing.

Right now, I'm a senior at Francis Marion University (Florence, SC) where I'm only months away from obtaining a Management degree with focus on Human Resources. The skills I've learned throughout my education have only increased my desire to work in HR and have already served me well in the jobs I've held while enrolled.

When I'm not at a desk or on the clock, I like a little of everything to help pass time. My main hobbies are writing poetry, gaming, drinking too much coffee, and savoring any kind of cold weather I can find in South Carolina. Whatever the weather, I'm always up to try new things with a group of friends. Variety is the spice of life, as long as things like skydiving and snorkeling with sharks don't fit your definition of "variety."
