Mrs. Harris brings 13 years of combined experience in project management, non-profit management, grants management, workforce development, economic development, business development, communications, marketing, and research.
Her grant management experience includes, budget, research, grant writing, reports, evaluations, hiring and training, structuring committees, and leading grant staff. This along with her experience in education where she currently serves as Dean of Instruction for Math, Sciences, Engineering and Career Technical Education Programs and occasionally teaches business courses gives her a unique position as a Grant Consultant.
Mrs. Harris has been able to collaborate and partner with organizations such as the Boys & Girls Club, California Health Collaborative, Reaching Potentials Institute, and various other nonprofit organizations. Mrs. Harris has implemented and executed two science, technology, engineering & math (STEM) grants for Reedley College totalling $6.85 million dollars. In addition, she has assisted various organizations in receiving community grants.
As a first generation, minority, college graduate Mrs. Harris has an advantage in understanding the needs and importance of a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds. She has a proven track record of civic engagement specializing in working with underrepresented populations.
