Graves Tompkins is an Advisory Director at General Atlantic. Previously, Graves served as Chief Operating Officer and led General Atlantic’s capital partnering efforts. He also worked on the firm’s Healthcare and Financial Services investing teams.

Before joining General Atlantic in 2008, Graves worked in the Merchant Banking division at Goldman Sachs, where he focused on principal investments across a broad range of sectors, and as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company. Graves is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a Young Global Leader at the World Economic Forum, a member of the Leadership Council at Harvard’s Center for Public Leadership, and he was previously a David Rockefeller Fellow through the New York City Partnership.

In addition, Graves serves as the Board Chair of Summer Search New York, a board member of Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy and Third Way, and a member of the investment committee of the New York Public Library.
