Sports are an organized way to have fun and make friends who have common interests. Also they instill values and can differ depending on the sport. Sports for me held me together as a person and gave me a feeling of ambition. From 4th grade on up until I graduated high school, football was my main sport. Football taught me the values that allowed me to be where I am today.
The coaches always instilled in me the values of hard work, determination, and to never give anything less than my all. To this very day I still live by these terms. Everyday I am determined and motivated to better my self. Even though I may not play football anymore I till have the memories and the life lessons the great sport taught me.
I honestly don't know where I would be right now without football. It prepared me for life, it gave me close bonds with my teammates and taught me to come together with them as one unit to get the job done. I may not have went to a large school but the heart for the sort was still there in each and every one of us. Being taught to motivate yourself and sometimes rely on someone else to do the same, which is really a large key to life itself. Football truly inspired me to be all I could on and off the field.
