I started the Rescue Her 33 organization on January 25th, 2021 with a mission for the organization to provide self-help services and transitional housing assistance to women with and without children who have been affected by domestic violence.

As someone who is a trauma survivor of domestic violence in her own personal life, Green has witnessed first hand how our society's indifference to mental and addiction illnesses impacts over 10 million people each year in the United States, negatively disrupting the lives of one in four women and one in nine men.

Ashley also believes that this crisis is not just a systemic one. It is a generational cycle known to those in the church community as iniquities. A family historical loop that is a learned behavior passed from one generation to the next that can be rectified with awareness, empowerment, and the will to break those chains that bind us.
