I remember the first time I fell for love, The confusing anxiety that kept me. The first time I held her in my arms, & from that day forward I was convinced, There was no other life underneath the sky but ours. But as time does to all things I realized though I loved her, she could never love me & the tears I once shed has now become rain. It was then I understood love was not meant to be received only transferred from one destination to the next, So as many hearts I have loved, I have broken twice as many, including my own several times over. The best part is all of the never ending memories through it all.. So I learned to smile at the sun, waiting for love to return from her trip. And when we lock eyes knowing her hello is accompanied by her goodbye, I relax & find comfort in knowing this might hurt a bit..
