I am a Board Certified OBGYN practicing at USAF Hospital Langley in the Women's Health Clinic. Although many believe Tricare beneficiaries are allotted free health care, I recognize this is not true. Families have made huge sacrifices to be eligible for Tricare and Tricare Select and Retirees pay for their insurance through monthly premiums or copayments with each visit off base. I respect my patient's time as their time is as important as mine. I have learned that listening to my patients is critical for caring for them and that not every patient is the same. I understand that many women have dealt with their gynecologic problems sometimes for months or even years and that by the time they meet me they have had multiple appointments for the same problem. Many times they have accommodated and adapted to their illness despite how debilitating it can be. I specialize in minimally invasive surgery and have additional training in Single Incision Laparoscopic Hysterectomy. My goal is to correct my patients problem and help return them to a normal lifestyle as quickly as possible. I routinely handle the most complex and high risk obstetrical patients. For my pregnant patients I do everything I can to allow for natural childbirth and only step in to avoid injury to the mother or her baby. I understand that the birth process is not about me, but rather it is a once and a lifetime experience for the parents. I'm am blessed to be allowed to participate in the process and experience their joy.
