Blaine Greer
St. Louis, Missouri, United States
I am 69; married to a young Dominicana at age 62. We have a daughter in kindergarten and preemie twin sons now in preschool.
This is my fourth marriage. I was married at sixteen; father and divorcee at 17. Second marriage produced one daughter also lost an infant daughter.
I earned a BS and two MS degrees by age 25; PhD in my 30's. one 7yr career as teacher/coach, 15yrs career ladder climbing from HS Principal to university professer, Retired early to spend 8yrs building a rental real estate empire; walked away from my business; dropped-out to begin long distance canoeing the length of the great rivers of North America in a open canoe solely in the company of my springer spaniel sidekick.
I then lived in relative isolation within Shawnee National Forest while resoming my second science teaching career which lasted 15yrs until retiring at age 65. I married the third wife during that period and she left me after we had moved to St. Louis where I now reside with my young Dominican wife and our thee children.
I prefer classical music and ballads. In addition to risk-taking I love word play creating alliterations, metaphors, free verse and limericks. My writing is telling short stories the long way in the form of satiric, sometimes cynical self-depricating accounts of farcical predicaments that I have created for my self through spontaneity and impulsiveness; by simply not thinking things through before diving headlong into bizarre life-changing and life-threatening situationsactions.
In other words readers can expect anything but expertise from a PhD. Instead you will find more about "How NOT to" written by a small town boy who never grew up, learned to say NO or use any common sense and yet survived to tell about a dynamic existence that has been one hell of a roller- coaster ride. Prepare to be amused and entertained reading my Living in Excess Blogs.
