Greg Alex

I'm a (retired) Fire Chief who is passionate about doing my best to serve God, my Family, and my Community.

I served as the Deputy Fire Chief for San Luis Obispo County and CAL FIRE. During my 31 year career, I provided direction for operations for San Luis Obispo County and the state lands of Santa Barbara and Ventura County.

I was fortunate to have many diverse fire assignments in 4 Counties of Monterey, San Benito, Fresno and, San Luis Obispo. I enjoy problem solving and making a difference in communities.

Community Planning is a passion of mine. I have enjoyed serving my communities of Pismo Beach and Grover Beach as a Planning Commissioner.

I also enjoy serving on the County Fire Safe Council the webmaster of FireSafeSLO.ORG .
