My professional experience has been an interesting two decade straddle of creativity and technology.

I am currently a Video Systems Manager at Virginia Tech. I manage the systems our media studios use for the university. I am responsible for managing our IT related equipment, which includes upgrades, maintenance, repair, inter-connectivity, and security as well as any of our ancillary systems we use for our production needs. Prior to working for Virginia Tech, I worked for 5 years at UNC Chapel Hill's School of Government. I spent my time there in the Information Technology department as a Multimedia Developer helping faculty realize their potential in the virtual and physical classroom. Before working at UNC, I worked at Jester Communications, a former design firm in Hilton Head, SC. I worked on projects ranging from web development, video editing, multimedia production, and managing our Web hosting server. I also had a brief stent as a Motion Graphics Artist at the now defunct Farmers Almanac TV. Most of my experience has had some role in technology as technical support and systems administration. Most recently I received my Master of Information Technology degree from Virginia Tech and achieved a CompTIA Security+ certification.

I aspire to be a well rounded, resourceful, and pleasant person.
