Greg Heidemann
Director in Williamsville, New York
"Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishment toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results."
-- Andrew Carnegie
Growing up in Idaho, observing and emulating his parents who were both self-employed within the agricultural industry, Greg Heidemann speaks of learning the importance of always having integrity and a strong work ethic. It wasn’t until he had graduated from college and entered into a business partnership that he began to fully understand the importance of teamwork as well, and setting aside individual egos in order to fully capitalize on the power of a strong team to fuel business growth and success.
Now as Director of Crops and Field Operations for Kreher Family Farms Greg is responsible for organic production on 7000 + acres in Western NY. Kreher Family Farms is a high integrity business that holds a strong set of values which align perfectly with Greg’s value set.
Recently with more than two decades of agribusiness leadership experience, Greg Heidemann is known for his repeated success driving positive change, growth, and business achievements by building strong, cohesive, accountable team-oriented organizations that draw on individual talents while inspiring top performance. He has held P&L responsibility for up to $40 million annually, has managed more than 100 employees including those in geographically separated locations spanning multiple time zones, has successfully managed within a fast-paced corporate environment requiring ability to juggle often-competing priorities, and has provided leadership with equal success in entrepreneurial businesses requiring him to wear many different hats.
Previously, at Whitewave Foods, a leading consumer packaged food and beverage company with domestic U.S. and international distribution, Greg served as the General Manager of Maryland and Idaho dairies, and as Director of Dairy Operations. While the situations and challenges faced at each dairy operation differed, they were each struggling and underperforming when Greg took over and the results of his transformational leadership were similar. Most significantly, he spearheaded turnaround of both operations, changing them into efficient, thriving operations, each ranking among the top three of the highest producing organic dairy operations in the nation, and in the top ten percent for quality.
