Financial Analyst in New York

There are three things that drive me in this world. I am passionate about a few topics, such as technology, finance, and the world economy. I love learning and I spend my time investigating and analyzing the areas that interest me most. Finally, I have a healthy skepticism about the information I consume, which drives me to read books, listen to interviews, and seek out category experts. I’ve worn several hats in my career: as a sell side analyst that built a number one rated research team from the ground up, as a buy-side investor that provided significant amounts of alpha for institutional long-only and hedge fund clients, and as a technology entrepreneur and investment advisor. Along the way, I got good at a few things. I understand technology, its impact on society and industries, and how to spot disruptive trends. I have done extensive work on corporate governance and shareholder activism and my view on value creation is more holistic than most activists. Finally, I am an excellent forensic accountant and my analysis has repeatedly predicted corporate bankruptcies, accounting restatements, and jail time by offending executives. I am attracted to deep thinkers and highly motivated organizations that solve big problems for society. I hold dual degrees from Cornell University, a BS in Electrical Engineering and an MBA with distinction from the Johnson Graduate School of Management. I am also a proud former member of its Track & Field team.
