Greg Claxton

I'm an urban planner relocating to Nashville, Tennessee, looking for some kind of work in planning, development, or sustainability. For three years, I oversaw the staff team creating the Imagine Austin Comprehensive Plan.

I have a Masters of Urban Planning from the University of Michigan, where I also obtained a graduate certificate in Industrial Ecology ("the science of sustainability"). While there, my master's project (funded by a grant from the American Public Power Association) recommended the creation of a green power program targeting commercial customers for the Grand Haven (MI) Board of Light and Power.

Before becoming a planner, I worked for three years in survey research and program evaluation in Nevada and Maryland.
