Gregg Mulholland

A politician, Gregg Mulholland prepared for his career in public service at the University of York, where he studied politics and graduated with a master of arts in public administration and public policy. Prior to entering parliament, Gregg Mulholland served Leeds North West for Headingley Ward, and worked as a council member for the Leeds City Council Corporate Services.

Gregg Mulholland began his tenure in Parliament after winning a seat in the 2005 general election. His responsibilities include executing campaigns for Save the Pub, an all-parliamentary movement designed to preserve the Great British pub. He belongs to several other all-party groups including Pediatric Mobility Reform and the Rugby League group, and serves as co-chair for the Ageing and Older People Motor Neuron Disease group.

An advocate for human rights, Gregg Mulholland organized a campaign to keep the Otley-based Wharfedale Hospital in operation after the institution fell on hard times in 2009. Mr. Mulholland rallied others to the hospital's cause, conducting public gatherings and collecting 5,000 signatures on a petition that called for an end to funding cuts at the hospital.

A few years prior, Gregg Mulholland campaigned successfully to prevent cutting costs and personnel of the Otley Police Station.
