Gregorio Robles

I'm Associate Professor at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, which has several campi distributed in the region of Madrid. I earned my PhD (with European mention after visiting for several months the Business University of Vienna and the University of Maastricht) in 2006. Currently I have mainly teaching duties in the field of computer networks, although I am as well the Director of the Master on Free Software. The rest of my time I do research in two fields: a) technology enhanced learning, which means that I try to use technology to improve the learning processes, and b) software engineering research on Free/Libre/Open Source Software systems, as the well-known Linux, Apache or Android. I've participated in several, multi-million-euro European, national and regional funded research projects, published over a dozen scientific works, presented my research in many conferences and workshops around the world and have co-authored an introductory book on free software which has been translated to Catalan, English, Italian and lately Greek. According to Google Scholar, my h-index is 26. Recently, I co-founded a spin-off company, Bitergia, which does software analytics.
