Gregory Smith

In the last 15 years I have offered my services to several organizations helping them with everything from small hosting platforms to advanced phone system data centers from complex ticketing systems to DNA sequencers from home computer repair to testing over 9000 computes in a worldwide network for hardware compliance. I specialize in Linux (preferring Ubuntu) servers as a means to replace more expensive Windows Servers but am equally happy on Linux, Windows or Mac systems. I enjoy my work, and love a challenge.

Right now, I am channeling most of my energy into my 9 to 5 job at the University of Kansas in the Biodiverstiy Institute. There I supervise a small group of energetic IT staff to support the research efforts of my division at KU. I also do some free lance work and am always interested in small projects and consultations.
