Professor of Applied Literature. No, not really. I just always wanted that title. Really: I founded IMAGE journal and edited it for thirty years. I edit an imprint, Slant, which publishes literary fiction. From 2004-2016 I was the founding director of the Seattle Pacific University MFA in Creative Writing. My books include Beauty Will Save the World, The Operation of Grace, and Intruding Upon the Timeless: Meditations on Art, Faith, and Mystery.
